Our Story

Helping you ride through the toddler years

The toddler years are tough enough, you shouldn’t have to sacrifice weekend rides or your morning commute on two wheels because your kiddos are too young to bike (or keep up). As mountain bikers and parents, we married Glen’s engineering degree with Ashley’s MBA to found Ride More, so we can all keep riding, together.

Too much fun

My nephew is 2 and I installed this seat on my Surly Packrat with a bunch of headset spacers. He loves it, loves to ring the bell on the handlebars and says 'did it myself' when we ask how the ride was. Thanks for making such a great bike seat!

A ride so nice, I bought it twice.

I noticed a parent riding his kid to school with one of these set up, I chased him down the street. Had to have it immediately. I love the set up compared to other seats on the market. It feels secure, and I like how it can grow with your kid. My oldest loved it, allowed us to go out on extended bike rides when he was too little to keep up for long distances. I had my youngest on it at 18 months old. Unfortunately, my bike was stolen, despite my youngest being 4, there's no way I couldn't have one of these again.

Sure, there are other kids seats like this on the market, but the set up is super stable and I love that it extends to grow with your kid. The saddle's curve helps to keep them in the seat when they're young, and the stirrups let them stand up when they start to get brave. When you're riding solo I don't even notice it, and it's super simple to just pop off and pop on when you want or need. Anyone that's interested in it, I tell them, it's the best biking investment I've ever made.

Exceeds Expectations

The Mac Ride is exactly what I was looking for! The saddle seat and foot stirrups holds my son perfectly and he’s not even 2 yet. He now loves to ride with me and we can spend time out on the trails.

Good Value

From long gravel rides to easier MTB trails, we bring our kids riding as much as possible. We used the Shotgun V1 with our first, and for our second I wanted to compare the Shotgun Pro to the Mac Ride. After trying both, I decided on the Mac Ride. It’s a little cheaper, and some of the features are better. Particularly the seat design. It’s more lower profile and the kids stay on the seat better. The whole unit does wiggle a little more than the Shotgun Pro, which is why I gave 4 stars. It’s very nice being able to remove the whole seat assembly within seconds for a quick solo lap.
